Three little known but proven tips and a detailed analysis of how to bunny hop a hardtail vs. a full-suspension mountain bike.

This blog post can save you MONTHS of trial and ERROR 💪 (Oh I wish I would've known this when I was struggling with the bunny hop...!)

In my latest YouTube video you’ll learn:
✅ the differences between bunny hopping a hardtail vs full-suspension mountain bike
✅ the nitty gritty bunny hop details you’ve always wanted to know!

Here's the YouTube video:

Here are 3 little-known but proven bunny hop tips:

1️⃣ With a full-suspension, a strong compression through the feet to initiate the manual is success-determining, especially for shorter riders (see my last YouTube Short about how to finally nail the manual front wheel lift)
2️⃣ With a hardtail, the compression needs to be crisper and immediately transfer into the lunge
3️⃣ Pro-Tip: NO - there is no ACTIVE rear wheel lift (scooping) motion needed to lift the rear wheel off the ground in the bunny hop! It’s actually the SPRINGING UP combined with the arm motion that gets the rear up!! (The scoop is optional and comes MUCH later - but feels very different!)
❌ Thus: Practicing front-to-rear-wheel lifts and believing you need to transfer your weight into your hands during the bunny hop WILL limit your bunny hop height (and possibly jeopardize success entirely)!

🤔 Skeptical?! THEN: Watch my YouTube video above!

✅ Understanding this and not concentrating on the rear wheel lift is a GAME-Changer!
✅ Want to finally bunny hop with ease like my student Patrick in this clip? ☝️
